Overview

At 6 years old Shreya just wants to fit in with the world around her but she feels her mother’s sari makes her stand out. That was until she is separated from her mother at the shopping centre and she realises that her mother’s sari is a celebration of her cultural heritage and her safe anchor in life.

The 6 activities for this book are colouring in sari designs, a comprehension about saris, an ordering activity to learn how to wrap a sari, a matching activity, a maze to help Shreya find her mother and an activity to create similes.
