This CBCA 2024 notable book is a retelling of the story of Jacky Jacky and Yarri – 2 Wiradjuri heroes who saved people during the Gundagai floods of 1852. With their bark canoes and big hearts they risked their lives to save people who did not heed their warning many years earlier and left it too late to flea in front of the rising flood waters.
