Overview

This 2023 CBCA shortlisted Eve Pownall Award book invites readers to “dive into the deep” of the Earth and outer space. From the deepest depth of sea trenches 6,000 metres below the surface of the ocean to the depth of the Amazon rainforest. From the dinosaurs of the deep past to possible space travel in the distant future this book offers readers a beautifully illustrated look at the science of life.

The activities for this book encourage readers to delve deeply into single sections of the book and gloss through to see just how broad the content is that is included in the text. Designed for children in Grades 4 and above these are designed to entice readers to explore beyond the limits of this single text and take their own deep dive into a subject of their choice.
