Overview

This is a bright and colourful story about a young girl who believes she has seen a tiger in her back yard. She uses her father’s computer to see if it really was a tiger and when the stripes, hissing sound and tail match what she saw she decides to build a tiger trap. With a 3 step plan she digs a hole in the back yard, covers it with leaves and places some bait in the whole to trap the tiger. Unfortunately she discovers that the tiger was in fact he father, in an orange and black striped jumper dragging the hose behind him to water the garden at night.

The activities for this book are designed for children in Kindergarten or Year 1 who are beginning to use computers for research and to label diagrams to show pieces of information.
