This CBCA 2023 notable Eve Pownall Award book is a very detailed look at the pollution of our oceans by plastic waste and solutions for how we can assist in making it better. This book is aimed at students in upper primary school as are the activities related to this book.

The activities include a short comprehension about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a research activity related to one of the solutions mentioned in the book, designing a poster to draw attention to the need to reduce, reuse, recycle and repurpose and playing a game of skittles with recycled plastic bottles as one method for reusing them.
