Sea Country Book Activities Games

Overview

This 2022 notable Early Childhood book tells of the many lessons we can learn if we take the time to listen to Country. Set on Flinder Island it explores the weather, food and demarcation between women and men jobs as Uncles and Aunties were responsible for different things.

The team at Learn From Play have designed 4 activities for this book for children from Pre-school to Year 4 as there are so many diverse lessons that can be learnt from this story. These include the migration pattern of Mutton birds, exploring family and pastimes, a collage of Sea Country and making modern versions of shell necklaces.
