Overview

This 2024 CBCA shortlisted picture book of the year is a story about difference and identity. It is designed to teach young children that they should be proud of who they are and love themselves for their own uniqueness rather than trying to conform to anyone else’s idea of ‘normal’. An interesting blend of photography and illustration which gives a sense of modernity and technology to an otherwise timeless animal.
