Overview

The Good Son by Pierre-Jacques Ober, Jules Ober and Felicity Coonan is shortlisted for the 2020 CBCA Picture Book of the Year. Unlike regular drawn picture books this one use miniature dioramas that have been photographed as the images. The tale of a solder during World War 1 who is killed for deserting his troop even though he returned after 2 days. Activities include a brief history of World War 1 timeline, making a diorama and letter writing.
