Overview

This book makes the story of women’s right to vote accessible to students in Stages 2 and above.  A simple to follow, personalised story of three women who were instrumental in South Australia being the first state in Australia and Australia being one of the first countries in the world to give women the right to vote for their political leaders.

The activities for this book are designed to complement the book with a timeline of women suffrage in Australia and a comprehension to learn the difference between suffrage and suffragettes.
